I recall the letters Chuck Berry wrote from prison. One thing he said, he trusted a person to take care of his finances and they screwed him over, not paying his taxes.  When he got out of prison he still rocked, more than ever!!

Back then it was a different game, you didn't have the luxury of internet, faxes, mobile phones, you had letters, and telephones, and telexes, so you had to depend on taking someone's word. Today you can check online!  A whole lot easier.
